The Karl Arthur Severson Foundation's mission is to provide financial assistance to Roaring Fork Valley teen-aged youth, to facilitate their pursuit of a future in ski racing, teaching, guiding or patrolling.
We provide assistance to families who demonstrate a financial need, and to youth who would like to pursue one of the following paths:
Competitive Athletes
We sponsor amateur athletes who have the potential to qualify for the U.S. Ski Team. We providing monetary endowments for equipment, travel and coaching. Karl's Foundation will focus immediately on deserving and needy young athletes, in order to make a difference in their lives and the ski industry community.
Teaching, Guiding, Patrolling
We provide monetary support to youth who desire to excel in the rigorous process of Ski Pro Certification, with training provided through the Junior Ski Pro Academy.
